The Energy of Giving
For a very long time – across periods of time that largely extend beyond human imagination – an energy has been at work on this beautiful planet that we now commonly refer to as “giving and taking.”
This energy was introduced to create spaces for experience, to structure relationships, and to support development within human systems.
Over millions of years, an understanding has developed from this that is deeply rooted in the collective consciousness. So deeply that, for many people, it has become something entirely natural – and is hardly ever questioned.
The origin of this energy, however, has faded into the background.
From my work with the spiritual world, I understand that its origin does not lie in balance, exchange, or taking. The original energy is the Energy of Giving.
Giving as the origin does not mean that something is expected.
It does not mean that something must come back.
Rather, giving itself is the starting point of all that unfolds.
SPIRIT gives.
The Universe gives.
This giving does not arise from lack, but from abundance.
Not in order to create something, but because giving corresponds to the origin.
How the Understanding of Giving Has Shifted Over Time
Over very long periods of time, the understanding of giving and taking became increasingly overlaid with human concepts. Duty, expectation, guilt, or the need for balance gradually became intertwined with it – often without us noticing.
As a result, giving became more difficult in many situations. Not because giving itself is difficult, but because conditions became attached to it.
Many people today give
because they believe they have to
because, inwardly, they expect something in return
or because they want to avoid an imbalance
In this way, natural giving is sometimes lost.
Perceiving Rather Than Judging
Change does not begin by judging this old understanding. It was part of a process of experience – and it had its place.
Change begins when we become aware of the inner attitude from which we give:
Am I giving from a place of clarity?
Or out of habit?
From inner calm – or from pressure?
These questions invite us to perceive, not to judge.
They are an invitation to awareness.
The Energy of Giving in Everyday Life
The Energy of Giving does not reveal itself only in major decisions or spiritual contexts. It is present very concretely in everyday life – in our words, actions, time, attention, and also in the way we relate to money.
A simple but honest question can be:
From what feeling am I giving – or spending my money?
From fear?
Out of obligation?
Or from a sense of inner alignment?
Money is no exception.
It is a form of energy that flows through our lives – regardless of how much or how little of it is currently available.
Honouring and Blessing Money
A conscious step is to honour the money one has – regardless of the form it takes, the account it is held in, or where it is located.
Blessing money does not mean attaching expectations to it or trying to “charge” it with something. It means clarifying one’s own inner attitude.
Recognition, respect, and gratitude do not necessarily change the amount we have externally, but very often they change our inner relationship with money – and therefore the quality of our decisions.
From Taking to Receiving
Another important aspect of this realignment concerns receiving.
Many people are good at giving, yet have difficulty receiving.
When someone gives from the heart, this does not create an obligation to give something back. Here, too, an old understanding of balance and expectation often comes into play.
Conscious receiving means:
recognising the gift
honouring it inwardly
and allowing gratitude
without immediately feeling the impulse that something “must be given back.”
Gratitude is not a form of compensation.
It is itself a form of giving.
Giving as a Conscious Decision
It is not a permanent state.
It is not a system of exchange or balance.
Giving becomes clear when it arises from awareness and free choice.
Sometimes this means giving.
Sometimes it means consciously choosing not to give.
Both can be expressions of the same energy.
An Invitation to Observe Yourself
We are at the beginning of a new way of putting this returned energy into practice. It may now be lived consciously – through free choice and personal responsibility.
Perhaps you would like to observe for yourself:
When do I give from a place of clarity?
When do I give out of habit?
When do I give because of inner pressure?
And when would it feel right not to give?
Giving can be light.
And conscious.
